Gatherings
Sunday Mornings
BIBLE STUDIES: 9:20 A.M.
We start Sunday morning with small group Bible studies for every age. Each class operates a little differently, but you’ll generally find light refreshments, prayer time, and a Bible lesson.
CHURCH-WIDE WORSHIP: 10:30 A.M.
We gather as a congregation on Sunday morning to worship our Lord by praying, singing, and hearing God’s Word read and taught together. We read Scripture from the Old and New Testaments. We sing songs written in our day, and songs written by the Christians who came before us. We pray to God in praise, in thanksgiving, and in confession of our sin. Our aim is to read, sing, and pray the glorious truth about our majestic and merciful God and Father, and his Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Our sermons are typically an exposition of one passage of Scripture. That means we strive to make the point of the sermon the point God makes in that part of His Word. We usually go straight through books of the Bible from week to week. We’re convinced that, from start to finish, every part of Scripture is God’s Word to us and ultimately points us to His Son Jesus. Every sermon aims to make the Gospel clear and relate God’s Word to our lives today.
Sunday Evening
CHURCH-WIDE PRAYER: 5:00 P.M.
We gather again on Sunday nights for a family time focused on praying for each other. We sing a few songs, hear a meditation on God’s Word, and spend most of our time hearing what’s going on in each other’s lives and in the life of the church. We rejoice together, grieve together, and pray for each other together.
