On behalf of the people of First Baptist Church of Wolfforth, I want to welcome you to our site. This church is a loving community of believers who are committed to the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. We love to gather together each Sunday to experience God-centered fellowship and worship by singing Christ exalting songs, by declaring our satisfaction in God with our pocketbooks, and ultimately, by hearing the perfect voice of our King through the preaching and teaching of Scripture. We also strive to display the glory of God in the everyday, ordinary routine of life. One way this is accomplished is by living life together throughout the week.
We certainly don't claim to have it all together, in fact, we are constantly amazed that God has chosen us to display the glory of his kingdom. Like the Corinthians, we are not wise according to worldly standards, "but God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God" (1 Corinthians 1:26-29). So, with the risk of sounding trite, if you are looking for a perfect church, then look elsewhere. But, if you're looking for a church filled with sinners who continually seek to glorify God in Christ, then we may just be the church for you.
